The week of Jan. 30 the House Small Business Committee will begin to roll out several major pieces of legislation to reform and modernize small business contracting. ÌýAGC had the opportunity to provide input on many of the proposals that will be released over the next several weeks.
The legislative package represents a total of seven free-standing bills and will cover the following areas:
- Contract Bundling, Offices of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, and Small Business Goals
- Limitation on Subcontracting, Insourcing, and Compliance with Subcontracting Plans
- Acquisition Planning and Procurement Center Representatives
- Mentor -Protégé Programs
- Size Standards
- Women’s Procurement Program
- Small Business Contract Fraud
